Primarily correspondence of Gilbert White, discussing the natural history of Selborne and other places. The letters also concern family history and news, and legal and financial matters. Also contains account books, poems, sermons, and other writings, together with correspondence of other family members, including Benjamin White, John White, Thomas Holt White, and Thomas White. Additionally, there are nature drawings and a commonplace book by John White, and a copy of the Selborne Parish Register for 1792.
